Fwd: Big kid.

Soccer bros.  Math problems requested from teacher because single digit math is "way too easy" - even though none of the other kids think so.

And, today, one lost tooth in the morning...another pulled out at lunch.  Orthodontia here we come....

Canada adventure

Love pinball
And arcades
And fishing, but can't let the hook stay in the water, have to check it right away
And crafts especially rubberband looms and braiding bracelets.
And dogs, especially the Irish setters at Laurie and Bob's, especially our puppy friend Lincoln.

"I think I might want to be a soldier so I can be ready for World War Three."

Oatmeal

(Suspicious) "mommy did you make my oatmeal it daddy?"
"Daddy did.."
"Oh good."
"Because daddy makes it perfectly?"
"Yeah. Because daddy puts in the brown sugar, puts it in the microwave, and doesn't stir it up."
"I do that too. Maybe Dad just has the magic touch."

"Maybe you just put it in the microwave for the wrong wrongness."

First physical altercation:  Kid at afterschool wanted to play chess, said "you don't even know how to play," Ivan said "yes I do my grandpa taught me," kid said "your grandpa's ugly."  Ivan hit him in the face.  Both got benched, both said sorry, but kid was still mad the next day so Ivan wrote a nice note with Mom:  "I'm sorry I hit you.  I really love my grandpa very much and you called him ugly.  But I know it's wrong to hit and I'm really sorry if I hurt you.  I hope we can play together again sometime.  Love, Ivan."  Kid read the note, came over and said "I forgive you."

6

I am 6. I turned 6 in Hawaii. I feel bigger but not much bigger. I snorkels and saw turtles, and I can dive to the bottom of the pool even on the deep end. I asked mom to bake me vanilla cupcakes with lime frosting and mint in top. They were good. The flight home was really boring and I said it was the worst birthday ever and I was never going to have a fun birthday ever again...but now I feel better. My temporary tattoo came off so mom drew it in again with a sharpie. I said "remember mom you promised I can have a permanent tattoo!" And dad laughed a lot.
